Presidents Day Society

Presidents Day is typically a US holiday that goes unnoticed to most, with the exception of increased weekend lift lines and inflated mountain prices. If you’re a government employee you get to take the day off while most of your friends are at work like it’s any other Monday. A few years ago, several of my creative friends decided to do something special with their day off. It needed to be something fun and entertaining but at the same time be apropos to the holiday. The Presidents Day Society was founded and has grown year over year into something pretty amazing filled with local news coverage, a more than official web site and for it’s members something that could best be described as celebrity status for a day.

This year I was lucky enough to receive an invite to join the society for an awesome day of Denver bars crawling and bowling. It was a great day, filled with more fun than any other Presidents Day I had ever experienced. Of course I took the camera along, check out some of my favorite takes from the day, and if you want to read some more about what the Presidents Day Society is about and what membership entails, head on over to the Official Charter on the official site.

Big thanks to the Society for allowing me to take part, I can’t wait until next year’s festivities! If you want to check out more photos from the day check out the full gallery over in the photos section.
