Just Another Dude With A Camera...

Hi, I'm Brandon, between the hours of 9-5 I'm a Mechanical Engineer, but elsewhere I'm a photographer, skier, mountain biker, traveler and huge tech nerd. I live and play in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I have learned everything I know about photography and web design thru the internet via others that have taken the time to share their knowledge. This site is one part narcissistic and one part philanthropic, meaning that I have designed and built it with the intention to not only share my photos and happenings with friends and family but also to share my knowledge of photography as those who taught me have done. Under The Hood

This site is a personal project of mine and will always be in a state of constant evolution, but for those who want the current dirty nerdy deets, here what I have going on:

  • At the core is Wordpress, themed with my custom design
  • The Portfolio page is utilizing SlideShowPro for Flash
  • The Photos page is utilizing a wonderful script called pwaplusphp
  • Flickr photos being called via phpFlickr class for the Flickr API
  • The photo lightbox effect is compliments of the Shadowbox javascript
  • The featured post slider on the front page is the S3Slider jquery plugin
  • Twitter feed being called via twitterjs javascript
